Bookings Terms and Conditions
Please note the below ‘Terms and Conditions’ may be subject to change without notice.
Deposits are non-refundable in the event of guest cancellation (we recommend that you consider insuring against the possibility of making a cancellation).
Cancellation Policy for Groups and Individuals: In the event of cancellation of a confirmed booking the following charges will apply:
- Up to 6 months' notice of cancellation, 50% of total payment is forfeited;
- Within 3 months' notice of cancellation, 75% of total payment is forfeited;
- One month or less notice of cancellation, 100% of total payment is forfeited;
Extenuating circumstances considered (in writing to the Operations Manager).
Guests are responsible for the insurance of their own effects whilst at Nicholaston and possible cancellation costs. Nicholaston House cannot be held responsible for such losses;
It is regretted that pets are not allowed, with the exception of registered guide dogs;
The premises are unlicensed and a NO SMOKING POLICY applies within the House;
All accounts are to be settled in full, four weeks before the booked date(s), in cash, by cheque, card or BACS payment;
In keeping with our Statement of Faith, and as a residential Christian retreat and conference centre with a residential Christian community at its core, we would expect all church groups, Christian organisations, and any other guests to be in sympathy with the Christian ethos of Nicholaston House, even if they are not practising Christians themselves. We reserve the right to refuse any booking which may be incompatible with the Christian ethos of Nicholaston House;
If through circumstances beyond our immediate control it becomes necessary to cancel an event or limit availability, all payments made will be reimbursed within 14 days in full settlement of any claim

Please ensure you have read the event programme and content, to ensure the event will meet your needs, prior to booking on to this event.
We cannot accept responsibility for incorrect information received via the booking form - please double check your information is correct before submitting.
You will receive a confirmation email once you have finalised your booking - please keep this safe.
Due to the popularity of our events, we would like to ask all attendees to inform us as soon as possible if you can no longer attend an event - this will give others the opportunity to attend in your place.
No refund will be given for failure to attend the event.
Failure to attend a free event will incur an administration charge of £15 chargeable at our discretion.
We will send all correspondence via email to the primary registrant on the booking form.
For reasons beyond our control, it may be necessary to amend the content of the event, venue or speaker(s) at any time.
Attendees are responsible for their own travel plans - details of how to find us are available via our website.
Food or refreshments may or may not be included depending on your booking/ticket type.
Any special dietary requirements or known food allergies for each attendee must be communicated to us, via the booking system, no later than 14 days in advance of the event. If these are received after this time we cannot guarantee special dietary requirements will be catered for.
We reserve the right to restrict places on courses and events where deemed necessary.
‘God’s House’ is a detailed account of how Nicholaston House came into existence by the man who had the vision and was given instruction direct from God.
In 1990 God unmistakably led Sue and Derrick Hancock to Swansea to see a vision fulfilled which God had given them some years previously. The booklet (A5, 53 pages, colour) gives a brief factual account of what God did and is doing. It has been written for two reasons - to give glory to God and to show what very ordinary people can do when they step out in faith with God. 'All that we have accomplished, You have done for us' - Isaiah 26 v 12.
