23-27 October 2017

Do you long to feel loved and cherished? Based on the book of 'Song of Songs' this retreat brings alive how deeply God loves us, enabling us to have greater compassion and love towards others and ourselves. It will involve both teaching and creativity.

Led by Helena Wilkinson -

£309 per person, full board, residential (guaranteed single occupancy supplement £15 extra per night).

*10% discount available for individuals booking who are willing to share a twin room with another individual of the same gender.

£129 per person, non residential, includes lunch on T/W/Th and evening meals on M/T/W/Th.

During the retreat we will find out more about what it is to know and be known by God, to feel validated, to have a positive attitude towards ourselves, and to experience companionship. We will look at the nature and reality of intimacy, what blocks it and how it enriches others’ and our lives.

During part of each day Helena will unpack the book of ‘Song of Songs’ and take us on a journey from yearning and longing to attaining a place of deep satisfaction.

This elaborate Hebraic love-poetry is the story of a simple but beautiful country Shulamite girl who falls in love with a shepherd lad working in the king’s vineyard. Throughout the book the Shulamite girl goes through a plethora of experiences and feelings as she finds, loses, and finds again a number of times, the one she loves. You too come face to face different emotions as you explore blockages in relationship and have the invitation to rediscover God’s relentless, undying love.

Besides teaching and time for reflection, this retreat will involve creativity, using different medium such as clay, paint and plants. There may also be the chance to incorporate equine therapy, so please bring clothes appropriate for these activities.

*If guaranteed single occupancy is required and all single rooms have been occupied, then a single occupancy charge at the current advertised rate will apply in addition to the standard event fee. Please let us know if you are booking as an individual and willing to share with another person of the same gender who is also willing to share - a shared occupancy discount is available, but only when sharing a room. If you are willing to share a room, but we are unable to accommodate you with another individual, then only the standard event fee will apply - no single occupancy charge or discount will be applied.
